I have spent many years exploring different approaches to dealing with depression, anxiety and the overall stress of life. I myself have made this journey toward peace and a greater sense of capacity and resilience and along the way have acquired the tools and techniques to assist others in achieving this greater sense of calm and wellbeing. 

It turns out the brain is wired towards a negative bias as a means of survival. As a result negative experiences from our past such as trauma, conditioning or false beliefs remain trapped within our brain and body severely limiting us from experiencing the joy of life, and instead cause us more fear, anxiety or depression. The good news is that with direct, consistent effort, the brain can rewire and experience an overall greater sense of wellbeing.

By using a variety of techniques that draw upon tools from psychology, mindfulness training and somatic therapy, we slowly dismantle the outdated false self that has been operating to protect ourselves and we become more and more familiar with that part of ourselves that has the capacity to experience joy, peace clarity and calm as well as the resiliency to cope with loss, grief, disappointment, anger and frustration. 

Somatic techniques use both talking and “felt sense awareness” (observing what is happening within the body in the present moment) to facilitate the release of stored negative thoughts, beliefs and emotions that are still trapped inside the body. Over time, the body releases these stored sensations through this technique and false beliefs of ourselves and negative conditioning are metabolized into our greater wellbeing.

Over time, a greater sense of calm and relaxation throughout our mind and body arises. We enjoy good things as they come up, without background agitation or fear ruminating behind us. And when difficult things do arise, we have a greater capacity to bounce back—a stronger sense of resiliency. Ultimately, our overall physical and emotional health improve and we feel whole.

Either face to face or via online video, we will together explore your experience: the feelings and beliefs that filter and effect the present moment and cause unwelcome sensations and thoughts. I believe that this journey requires our full commitment, the more we give to this process—the greater benefit we will experience. 

Rate
$250/60 min: I also offer a sliding scale when appropriate.


Gatherings provide an opportunity to both practice and
learn tools for experiencing more and more moments of peace.
